Friend: So, I just saw some of the new spoilers in M11, and I saw a interesting new rare for black. It's called Captivating Vampire. It does the same as Cemetery Reaper for vampires as for the buffing. It costs the same as Cemetery Reaper as well, and has the same power/toughness. Now, the activated ability costs tapping 5 vamps, then you take control of target creature and it becomes a vampire. now, it's not a EOT effect, so you permanently take control of the creature. Not as cost effective, but I think it is a good replacement, seeing as there are vampires running rampant right now. Your thoughts?
MtGFan: It has great flavor, actually. It's almost blue in nature as well. Vamps tends to be a swarm type, much like soldiers or elves, so actually getting down five vamps (with deathtouch, no doubt) and being able to tap them on your opponent's turn (at the beginning of combat step, before attackers are decided) is good times. Also, since it's part of an ability, you can even tap him too (much how you could tap for, say, Master of the Wild Hunt).
