Yesterday I attended the prerelease event for Mirrodin Besieged at the Best Western Primrose hotel in Toronto. Going into the event I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the format since the Scars of Mirrodin limited play annoyed the crap out of me with the infect decks, because 10 life just isn’t…

Thanks for the kind words! Magic is awesome!
Study the cards well. Always think about how to put more permanents on the battlefield. Keep your curve in mind when drafting. Combos are awesome in draft, see if you can put together a theme. I’m sure some of my followers also have some tips. What can you add?
Take care you don’t run into the guy with Redirect.

A couple of years ago, I purchased a box of each set of Kamigawa. This was intended to be so my friends and I could crack some packs and have fun with it, but the plans never panned out after the first session, so I had 20-something packs of each just sitting in boxes, waiting for… I don’t know.
It’s not like the set has any real value, outside of a few cards. The money I’ve paid is considered a sunk cost, so anything I get out of opening them is gravy. I -could- just crack the packs, search for the half dozen or so cards that might be valuable and the few others I want to use in Commander and be done with it. However, my experience opening my box of M11 has taught me that, no, I really don’t want to just crack packs. It’s not that interesting after a while. And it becomes a bit disheartening when I don’t crack a single Primeval Titan or Baneslayer…
Interesting read. Love the name of your blog!
Well, that’s a bit vague, and I don’t remember you telling me about this one! =/ Sorry about that. What are some details about the deck and its format? (Sounds interesting, I love Esper colors)
For the Mirrodin Besieged Prerelease my boyfriend and I played at the Wizard’s Tower here in Ottawa, Canada. First off, I love this set, especially in limited! Nearly every rare is useful and I’m so excited to use card’s like Green Sun’s Zenith, Thrun, the Last Troll, and Glissa, The Traitor in my…

Not Mirrodin Pure or New Phyrexia.
I opened some ballsy rares today. The best of which was a Chimeric Mass (my 5th so far), with a Trinket Mage to match. Pretty cool. Psychosis Crawler was my coolest Besieged rare, and I ended up running it. A Phyrexian Vatmother didn’t make the cut, as I was short the good poison guys by a…
Posted!
I’ve tried MWS, and I didn’t like it much. Plus, can’t play with people on Macs (since it does not have a Mac version). I use Lackey for that. I have done Sealed using it and older cards however, and it is fun. I just prefer a small card pool to draw from when making a constructed deck.
AGAIN.
And from out of nowhere too. Untamed Might & Unnatural Predation.

No, I do not. Why do you ask?
The Naturalize should be sideboard material. I see this as a fun deck! What do you guys think?
Sorry I didn’t get to your Shard of Alara draft question on time! Glad it went well for you though! Plus, you’ll meet plenty of people here you can talk about Magic to!
I don’t! I only have newer cards and the idea of singleton 100 card decks is currently boggling. I will get into it at some point, but not the immediate future.
