I just figured out the Phyrexian symbol! Very clever on Wizards part.
Φ is the Greek symbol for Phi (or Phy). There a bunch of mathematical/scientific/philosophical meanings attached to the symbol, many of which can be stretched into somehow being represented by Phyrexia.
