painting tokens
theycanteraseyou submitted:
Hi c: My name is Sarah. I just started playing magic because I was obsessed with the artwork and especially with the idea of expanding the art work so I decided to try it myself. If you totally want tokens painted or even cards let me know :D
Awesome looking work. My girlfriend is also getting into altered art, maybe this’ll inspire her! Cheers!

Commentary - Re: "Caucasian" Angels and Women in...
makimonstrous:
So, I follow Mark Rosewater’s blog as well as numerous MtG blogs across tumblr and the internets, and as of late there have been a lot of complaints about the lack of multiracial presentation in the angel creature cards in Avacyn Restored (as well as other sets) and the somewhat “rapey” appearance of the artwork for Triumph of Ferocity. I actually wasn’t going to write about this,...

Anonymous asked: Ok, a curious anon here. I'm a bit confused exactly on what exactly you are allowed to do when you activate Sorin Markov's ultimate (his -7 ability). If you control another players turn, are you allowed to make him forfeit? (Sorry in advance if you have answered this question before)

Wow it’s such a strangely perfect polarized split.
It is actually very interesting to see it as such. I was using the standard Likert scale (1-5 response), but I perhaps should have went deeper with a 10 or so response thing if I knew the answers would be a bit polarized.
Perhaps I’ll conduct...

AVR Sealed Simulator! →
mtgathering:
In case you want to practice AVR Sealed before this weekend, or just get an idea what an average Sealed pool will be like, try out the simulator! Hopefully the draft simulators will have AVR soon.
I got mine. Angel of Glory’s Rise, Angel of Jubilation, TWO Emancipation Angel, THREE Cloudshift, and plenty of Humans in Red with Soulbond. Yup, I like this pool. Mark...

delousedinthetardis-deactivated asked: I was wondering if you could put this out there for me. I live in a town with around three different magic players, and on top of that, I recently lost my job. Now while this isn't an issue for me (still in High School with my parents) I unfortunately cannot buy Magic cards as often as I want to. But I can trade, as I have quite the collection. If anyone wants to trade with me, then please,...

Wizard's Lack of Diversity- Part 2, My response to...
nightmarejellyfish:
First off I would like to thank ezralahm for linking me to other examples of ethnic angels. It makes me happy that there has at least been some effort in the past to diversify the Multiverse. I think that female representation is important in fantasy games, but the way they are portrayed is even more important. In MTG we have a creature type that is completely female, not...

It;s 7 life. No more, no less. He shouldn’t be banned at all in commander!
The argument is that he’s a Lifelinking body. So it basically says “Whenever ~ attacks, draw seven cards.” Combined with other things like Venser’s Journal, it does sound powerful.
