Q:I have an Opal Acrolith that is currently a creature. My opponent is targeting it with a creature removal spell. Can I turn it back into an enchantment to have the removal spell fizzle?

Yup! The Opal’s second ability will go on the stack.
- Opal turns back into an Enchantment
- Kill target creature spell
Opal’s ability will resolve first, and the removal spell will fizzle out (since it isn’t a creature anymore).
