Legacy’s time as a widespread, mainstream, competitive format is rapidly running out. Legacy has seen both its popularity and prices explode over the past few years. With Wizards of the Coast having locked the Reserved List in place, likely due to legal concerns about potential actions being taken against them if they were to abandon it, the rising prices for Legacy cards has become a pressing issue for both players and tournament organizers who would like to see the format continue.
