Before I can answer this I feel like the meta should be defined. As of right now the last couple of major tournaments show the best decks to be: Wolfrun, Solar Flare, mono black infect* and some sort of blue control or mono red.
Even though mono black infect shows 10% I think that will wildly climb in the next couple of weeks as it’s good and a lot of people are interested in playing it. After talking to some friends I feel like a black deck is the most well positioned in the meta, wolfrun can’t really beat a lot of spot removal, they’re either playing fat dudes or going all in on a wolfrun’d inkmoth. A deck packed with dismembers, doomblades and victim of nights seems like a variable nightmare. Black is also very good against solar flare for the same reason, you have spot removal plus the best access to graveyard removal. If you’re running a U/B control you have snapcaster which makes all your spot removal even better. To be honest I think either U/B control or mono black infect is the best choice right now.
Ultimately the best thing you can do is assess your local meta and figure out what’s going to work best.

Making a deck in standard should not be based around the phrase
“Does it die to Dismember?”
But that was the phrase me and my friend kept passing back and forth while trying to create various decks.
