The part about adopting the misogyny of the subculture is something I find myself dealing with a lot in pop punk as well. 

Very interesting! Seriously, I find myself not even talking to people when I play Halo or Starcraft or anything since people are so obnoxious. I think the homophobia on gaming networks might even be worse! At least 20 times a game I hear fag or if a girl is playing “ARE YOU HOT OR WHAT”. Ugh.

As for pop punk, and music scene in general, there’s two things that suck. Most music scenes are guy dominated. Nothing anyone can really do about that unless guys either stopped going to shows or girls started going too more. Second point is that shit heads exist in every scene. It’s a bummer.

 This article is incredibly relevant to my life. Seriously, reccommended reading. About the video, I think it was meant to be just a silly, fun thing and I’m sure these women are incredibly lovely! But THIS ARTICLE. <3
